  • It’s all about sports…mostly.

"Constructed in Columbia, South Carolina, The Arsenal was converted into an educational institution in 1842. Burned to the ground during the Civil War, it was never reopened...that is, until recently, when it became a sports blog."

College Football TV Listings, Week 7

Posted on October 13, 2009 by Sandlapper Spike

This list actually includes every game involving an FBS or FCS school, whether a game is televised or not.  For the TV games, I also list the broadcast announcers and sideline reporters.  There are always a few games (usually involving locally-produced telecasts of FCS schools) where gathering information on game announcers is problematic.  I usually get all the information on the announcing teams by the time the weekend rolls around, however.

As I’ve done in previous weeks, I’m using Google Documents in an effort to make the listings more accessible.

ABC/ESPN 3:30 pm ET coverage maps:  Link

  • ERT-SEC (SEC Network) coverage of Georgia-Vanderbilt can be seen on CSN-Washington, MSG, CSN-Bay Area, FSN-Detroit, Comcast Net Philadelphia, ESPN GamePlan, and local affiliates listed here:  Link
  • Raycom affiliates for Wake Forest-Clemson are listed here:  Link
  • ERT-BE (Big East Network) coverage of Louisville-Connecticut can be seen on SNY, Bright House, MASN, CST, Altitude, ESPN GamePlan, and local affiliates listed here:  Link
  • ERT-BE (Big East Network) coverage of Marshall-West Virginia can be seen on Bright House, ESPN GamePlan, and local affiliates listed here:  Link
  • ERT-WAC (WAC regional syndication) coverage of Hawai’i-Idaho can be seen on CST, Oceanic PPV, Altitude 2, ESPN GamePlan and local affiliates listed here:  Link
  • Southland TV coverage of Stephen F. Austin-Central Arkansas can be seen on local affiliates listed here:  Link
  • Southern Illinois-Northern Iowa will be televised by Cedar Falls Utilities and Mediacom.  On my spreadsheet I listed the announcers for Mediacom, Scott Warmann and Darren Kinnard.  CFU will have its own announcing team — Jeff Mickey, Rick Coleman, and Eric Braley.
  • Not only will the North Dakota State-South Dakota State telecast have a three-man announcing booth, there will be two sideline reporters covering the game; for space reasons, they are not listed in the spreadsheet.  The two reporters are Brian Shawn and Tim Peters.

A lot of the information I used in putting this together came courtesy of Matt Sarzyniak’s great website (College Sports on TV) and the folks over at the 506.com; there are links to both sites to the right of this page, in the “TSA  Checkpoints” section.
