The Citadel’s temporary museum has been set up on the third floor of Daniel Library. It has some interesting stuff despite a lack of space. A full-fledged permanent museum is badly needed.
This football “jersey” belonged to none other than the Major of St. Lo, Thomas Dry Howie. I believe it dates from 1928, the year Howie led the Bulldogs to an upset over Clemson. Howie was also the captain of the baseball team.
